Company Liquidation Newspaper Notice in Dubai
Closing a company means telling its creditors in public. We prepare the liquidator’s notice in Arabic, add the English version when it is needed, book it in newspapers your licensing authority accepts, and deliver the proof you file with the final report.
Direct answer
When a UAE company is liquidated, the liquidator must notify creditors and publish the notice in two local daily newspapers, one of them in Arabic, giving creditors at least 30 days to submit their claims (Article 324 of Federal Decree-Law No. 32 of 2021).
In Dubai, the Department of Economy and Tourism describes the practice for mainland companies as two Arabic newspapers for one day, a 45-day period for creditors, and submission of the original newspaper with the final liquidation report. The creditor period runs from the publication date, so it sits on the critical path of every closure timetable.
The legal basis
What the law and Dubai practice require
Article 324 — notice to creditors
The liquidator notifies creditors of the start of the liquidation and invites them to submit their claims. The notice is published in two local daily newspapers, one of them issued in Arabic, and creditors are given at least 30 days from the notice.

Dubai’s government portal describes the liquidation announcement as published in two Arabic local newspapers for one day, with 45 days for creditors, and the original newspaper submitted with the liquidator’s final report. For licences expired for two years or more it describes a shorter, 15-day notice in widely circulated Arabic newspapers.

The statute sets a floor of 30 days; the authority’s practice may be longer. Build the closure timetable around the period your licensing authority applies, and confirm it before the notice is booked.

Frequently asked questions
How many newspapers does a liquidation notice need?
Article 324 of the Commercial Companies Law requires publication in two local daily newspapers, one of them in Arabic. Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism describes its practice as two Arabic local newspapers for one day. We confirm the current practice with your licensing authority before booking.
Is the creditor period 30 days or 45 days?
The law sets a minimum of 30 days for creditors to submit claims. Dubai’s DET describes a 45-day period for mainland liquidations. The period your authority applies is the one that governs your timetable, and it runs from publication.
Does the notice have to be in English as well?
Not under the statute, which requires one of the two newspapers to be in Arabic. An English newspaper is sometimes used as the second paper or requested by a free zone; we check before booking.
What happens if the notice contains a mistake?
An authority can refuse a notice whose company name, licence number or liquidator details do not match the file. Correcting it means publishing again, and the creditor period starts again from the new date. This is why every name and number is checked against the licence and the resolution before booking.
Do free zone companies follow the same rules?
Free zones apply their own regulations and procedures for liquidation and deregistration, including their publication requirements. Send us the free zone’s checklist and we prepare the notice to match it.
Does Taw-Theeq liquidate the company?
No. The liquidation is run by the appointed liquidator, usually an audit firm. We handle the published notice, its translation and the proof of publication, and we can translate and help notarise the supporting documents.
