Rental Dispute Case Pre-Check

Dubai's Rental Disputes Centre offers more than twenty distinct services, and picking the wrong one is the most common reason a file is rejected or stalls. Nine questions is usually enough for us to tell you which route fits your situation, which documents you need, and what has to be in Arabic before you file.

What this tool is — and is not

This is a scoping tool, not a legal assessment. It works out which RDC service your situation points to and what paperwork that route demands. It does not weigh the merits of your case, does not tell you whether you will win, and is not legal advice. Anyone offering you a probability of success from a web form is not being straight with you.

Start your pre-check

Answer nine short questions and we will tell you which RDC service your situation needs, which documents you must gather, and what has to be translated into Arabic. This is a scoping tool — it does not assess the merits of your case or predict any outcome.

Step 1 / 10

Are you the landlord or the tenant?

Taw-Theeq Corporate Services and Legal Translation LLC is a legal support services provider — not a law firm and not a government authority. This tool scopes your situation and identifies the documents required; it is not legal advice and does not assess or predict the result of any case.

After you send it

What happens next

  1. 1

    We read the summary

A member of the team reads what you sent and checks it against the RDC's published requirements for that case type. If something in your answers changes the route — an expired notice, a missing Ejari — we tell you.

Within one business hour, Mon–Fri 8:30–17:00
  2. 2

    You get a document checklist

Not the generic list — the list for your case, marking which documents must carry certified Arabic translation before the RDC will accept them.

  3. 3

    We prepare and translate

We review what you have, produce the MOJ-certified Arabic translation in-house, and assemble the file in the format the RDC expects.

  4. 4

    We file and follow up

We submit under the correct case category, pay the published fee on your instruction, and track the case through conciliation and hearing dates.

Conciliation is capped at 15 days under Decree 26/2013

About your documents

Nothing is uploaded from this page. When you send the summary, WhatsApp opens and you attach your files there — so your contract and IDs stay in your own chat rather than passing through a web form. If you would rather email them, write to info@taw-theeq.com.

Questions about the pre-check

Does this cost anything?

No. The pre-check and the document checklist you get back are free. Charges only arise if you ask us to proceed with translation, preparation and filing, and we tell you those costs before you commit. RDC filing fees are set by the Centre, not by us.

Will you tell me if I have a strong case?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who does from nine questions. We tell you which route fits and what the file needs. An assessment of the merits is legal advice — for that, engage a UAE-licensed lawyer, and we will work alongside them on the documents.

Can I use this if I am the landlord?

Yes. The first question asks which side you are on and the rest of the flow adapts. We act for landlords and tenants alike — on preparation and filing, never on both sides of the same dispute.

What if I do not have Ejari?

You can still register a claim by adding a request to prove the leasehold relationship, which the RDC charges at AED 500. It changes the document set, which is exactly the kind of thing the pre-check is for.

Is Taw-Theeq a law firm?

No. Taw-Theeq Corporate Services and Legal Translation LLC is a legal support services provider. We prepare documents, provide MOJ-certified translation, and handle RDC filing and follow-up. We do not give legal advice and do not represent clients at hearings.
